Cathy has worked in the practice since graduating from Camosun College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1985. After assisting for five years she moved to reception. She is now another friendly and smiling face at the front desk and would be happy to assist you with your dental needs. Cathy was born and raised in Victoria and has three children. She enjoys the farm life out in Central Saanich, hiking, and walking her new puppy Leonard .
El has been with us for over a year. She has discovered a love for dentistry and we are hoping to expand her to other parts of the office
Jen was born and raised here in Victoria. She is currently taking a break from her anthropology degree to focus on her career. Newly married and with a new puppy named Bean, most of her spare time is filled with long walks around Thetis and near her home in Langford.
Jen prides herself on friendly customer service and always encourages the importance of good dental, physical, and mental health
Angela has been with the practice since 2001, after graduating from the Certified Dental Assistant program at Camosun College. Since working with Dr. Gakhal she's had the opportunity to continue her education in dentistry with courses on implants and IV conscious sedation.
Angela is married and has a 13 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family and reading.
When she is not at the office she can usually be found at one of the local hockey rinks as both her children play hockey. She is currently the manager for her daughters team and is the Director of Communications for the Capital Region Female Minor Hockey Association.
“ Hey I’m Preet! I’ve been working at Viewmont Dental for over 5 years now. I started after I graduated from the certified dental assistant program in 2017 at Camosun college. I was born in India and moved to Victoria shortly after. When I’m not working I enjoy spending my time travelling and being with my friends/family. Some of my hobbies include photography, videography, dancing and make-up.”
Alicia has worked in the office since 2009, after graduating from the Registered Dental Hygiene program in Toronto. Previously she worked as a Certified Dental Assistant before pursuing her goal of going back to school to become a Dental Hygienist. Alicia is from the beautiful Okanagan and goes back to visit whenever she can. She currently works Mondays and Tuesdays and some Fridays.
Jess grew up on the lower mainland, but her love of island life brought her to Victoria where she has lived for the last 12 years. She recently adopted a puppy named Kona who she loves to bring on hikes and adventures exploring the island. Most weekends you can find her up at Lake Cowichan enjoying all that the lake has to offer. She has a passion for helping patients achieve the best possible oral health.
Nancy covered for Alicia last year when she was away on Maternity leave. We are lucky to have her back in a permanent position for Wednesdays and Thursdays.
You can find our newest addition Sarah working Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Sarah recently relocated to Victoria and spends her time exploring the island, cycling and trying out new restaurants. Passionate about her work, Sarah loves learning about new science based methods and products to provide her patients with the best care possible!
Eryn has a degree in Physical Geography and another in Forest Operations from the University of British Columbia. After being frustrated with several layoffs she decided to pursue something more stable and was pointed in the direction of Dental Hygiene. She graduated with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Vancouver Commuity College in 2004. While she is primarily a hygienist, you may also find her helping out at reception, administering local anesthetic, assisting with IV sedations or very rarely assisting. When not at the office, Eryn enjoys spending time with her 3 wonderful daughters, running, cycling, swimming and hiking
